Christmas Primitive Gingerbread Dolls-SPPO Prim Gingers
This sweet set of prim gingerbread dolls, "Ginger Thyme" has been a great seller at past shows so I've revised them from the original and now offer them in a SEW PRIM Pattern. Although they are not designed in the traditional "cutsie" way, they can be made to suit your individual taste or decor, as well as your upcoming holiday craft shows!
They have primitive stitched and appliqued faces, brown hemp twine hair and painted candy cane striped legs. Tucked into the Ginger Boy's arm are a pair of gingerbreads, which the pattern template can be used to make "gingerbread bowl fillers or ornies" and a doll size purchased rolling pin, that you can paint or stain to your liking. The Ginger Girl's apron is made out of stained osnaburg which is handstitched along the hemline and reads "Ginger Thyme". A heart shaped pocket is also stitched to the apron. Pinned to the apron is a prim tag stamped with a "Gingerbread Cookie Recipe" and a rusty ole gingerbread cookie cutter, which you can rust out yourself or use a vintage gingerbread cookie cutter.
The pattern comes complete with detailed instructions to make both primitive gingerbread dolls, their clothing as shown, gingerbread bowl fillers, detail photo, template for the gingerbread cookie recipe, rusting, painting and staining instructions and a list of supplies where most items can be found.
