Except This Posey Sampler and Pinkeep
Enamored with old sampler verses as well as Fraktur motifs, I’ve created two miniature stitcheries that combine both elements. The sampler reads, “Except this posey from a Friend whose Love will never end.” The misspelling is intentional and in keeping with that on a c. 1819 sampler. Using elements from the same pattern, I also created the wee “Friend” pinkeep.
Originals were stitched on 32 count linen with one thread over both one and two threads. Stitch count for sampler is 77h x 57w. Stitch count for pinkeep is 32h x 54w.
Pattern includes color photo, professional cross stitch charts with floss colors, aging instructions, and directions for framing the sampler and making the pinkeep.
