Fitter and Flutter Butterfly Fairies hcs
These butterfly girls look so cute sitting in their water lilies. 12" Flitter has a needle scuplted nose and painted face while 8" Flutter has a simple to make face, no sculpting it's flat.
I used Bali batik and hand dyed fabrics to make them but you can use any fabric. Do the bodies in black with a printed wing and no clothing to make them look more like a butterfly and less like an elf. The smaller doll is dressed in pleated ribbon but you can use any wide ribbon or fabric, hem or fringe it!
The hair on both dolls is yarn baked on knitting needles. You will use thin wire with beads for the antennae sewn to the heads.
The water lily can be made full with 4 layers or with only 1. I covered a circle of fabric with embroidered yellow french knots for the center but a large button works, too. The dolls look so cute sitting in it!
The directions are printed book style on 24 lb. paper printed on both sides. There are color photos, line drawings, and plenty of hints to help you. The cover comes with a color photograph glued to it. There are 6 pages of full size patterns. Each pattern comes in a zip closed plastic bag.
