The Frogettes.....Primitive Frog/Witch Pattern
The "Frogettes" are made from painted muslin. Their faces are hand-stitched and have painted eyes. The facial features are shaded to enhance them. They're wearing dresses that have wool bodices, lace trim around the neck and osnaburg and calico skirts. Minnie's pumpkin is wool felt and Pearl's bag is heavily dyed muslin. The "Frogettes" have wired arms and hands that have been wrapped with tape, painted and waxed. They are easily posed and add to the character of each frog witch. Each little witch is wearing a rusty bell around their neck and a wool felt witch hat between their eyes. These girls are weighted to stand freely and measure approximately nine inches tall.
