This is a Cumberland Falls Arts original design, formerly Nanny Norton Prims.
This is an old style church doll that could have been used by slave children in the South. It is aged to look well worn and loved. It has the date 1864 stitched on the front.
I love designing dolls and think it is a magical moment when they come to life.
Church doll is approx. 9 inches tall when finished and is made from muslin. This is a very easy doll to make and there are not a lot of supplies to buy.
Pattern includes easy directions for making, staining and aging doll. You will want to make one for yourself and that special friend.
These would make great ornaments for an old Slave type tree.
