Marigold Motherlode Mouse and Her Friend Betty Butterfly PM

Add this item to the wish list

Marigold and her brothers lived in a fern covered grotto near a mountain stream in the Sierra Mountains. On a beautiful a sunny day, she was enjoying playing with her butterfly friend Betty. In the afternoon, she made a nest of soft ferns, poppies and fragrant lupine blossoms. She placed a large poppy blossom over her head and settled in for a long afternoon nap. Marigold had lovely dreams of fluttering butterflies and sweet smelling, colorful blossoms. She stretched her tiny arms and rose to walk across the meadow towards home because it was near dinnertime and her growly little tummy had awaked her from her nap. She started across the meadow, and suddenly stopped. “What is that tiny, tinkling sound that is following me?” Marigold turned right, then left and each time she moved she heard the tinkling sound. “I don’t see anything that could be making that sound,” she whispered to herself. Suddenly, she heard giggling sounds in the tall grass nearby. Now, Marigold knew her brothers, Maynard and Max were playing tricks on her. She bent way over and peeked through her feet. “Oh! You sneaky boys!” She exclaimed loudly. While Marigold had slumbered peacefully in her bower of blossoms, Maynard and Max had snuck up on her and carefully tied a jingle bell to her tail. Marigold decided that she rather liked the jingle bell’s happy sound following her everywhere she went and to this day, she always keeps a jingle bell tied to her tail. She often changes the color of the thread just to annoy her brothers. Maynard and Max are so annoyed with themselves for ever tying that bell to her tail.

The Pattern for Marigold and Betty comes with complete illustrated instructions and color photos to help you create a sweet Marigold and Betty for yourself. Marigold can be posed several ways and measures approximately: 3” tall, not including her 4 ½” tail. Betty is about 1” wide. This is an original, copyrighted pattern.
