FWP Punch Needle pattern MIDNITE HAUNTING #1307
The Witch Ivernia and her Scaredy Scat are trolling the pastures and country roads on the look out for any mischief makers. She has corralled Birdy Black as a look out for those wayward children. She and her companion are finely attired for a midnite haunting with a scarf around their necks to keep out the chill and a fine black hat perched on her head. Watch out! She looks kind of scary but is really a sweet soul only looking out for the kiddies in the neighborhood.
This piece is an original Fully Wooly Primitive Punch Needle design and is done with hand dyed cotton threads. I have gone back to my roots and decided to do a quilt border using my own hand dyed wools and an appliqué technique. Stars surround the border and have been primitive stitched using again my own hand dyed wool threads. I have secured the edges with a running stitch and quilted the seams. The punch needle itself measures 5" x 5-1/2" while the whole piece measures 12-1/2" x 13-1/2" and is backed again with a piece of black wool.

This is a great pattern to start off the fall season. Really looks nice made up for a table top or add a sleeve in the back to hang the small wall hanging. Can even be made as a pillow top. Lovely for your primitive decor with an added bit of whimsy!
